Pine needles turning yellow #726161

Asked September 22, 2020, 5:44 PM EDT

I just noticed that some of the needles on my pine tree are turning yellow. Should I be concerned?

El Paso County Colorado

Expert Response

The needles that are browning are on the interior of the tree, so this is normal fall needle drop.   This is normal for pine trees in the fall as they lose their old needles.  You don't need to be concerned!
