Ground Bee nest hit by riding lawnmower #725747
Asked September 21, 2020, 12:26 PM EDT
We have a ground bee nest that was hit by our riding lawnmower or dug up by an animal. Is there anything we can do to help the bees repair the damage?

Hello,
Honeybees do not nest in the ground. It's more likely your little friends are ground
nesting yellowjackets rather than bees. Yellowjackets are not pollinators but
they are aggressive jerks this time of year. They will die out on their own
over the winter. If you want to get rid of them quickly dump a half cup of
Sevin Garden Dust down the hole they are using.
