found large hornet, Portland #725177

I found the wasp or hornet in the attached pictures on the sidewalk outside Mt. Scott Fuel on Foster Road in Portland Friday September 18. It looks a lot like the picture Wikipedia shows for the Asian giant hornet.

This insect is not the invasive Asian giant hornet.
