Any idea what this slug like creature is. Found it today decimating a fuscha plant.

This is a caterpillar, possibly one from the family Sphingidae, but I need more information and pictures to get you any closer than family.

What country are you located in? 
Do you have pictures of the entire caterpillar? Dorsal view? Lateral view?
