Mountain Ash - all kinds of problems #715342

I had a client send me pictures of her Mountain Ash. I have determined that she has a Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker problem. However, the top of the tree has some dead branches, sparse greenish-yellow leaves. There are only about 6-8 clumps of berries on the whole tree. I have attached pictures. Could the dead branches be due to the YBSS's. Or, is this a different problem. The tree is over 15 years old.
Thanks,

The Mountain Ash tree is susceptible to the fungal disease Fire Blight. Once the tree is weakened the upper branches will die back. Insects will bore into the trunk followed by Woodpeckers. The orderly spaced holes are from bird damage.
Contacting a local ISA Certified Arborist to prune the diseased branches might be possible. The multiple holes in the trunk are not a good sign.
Below is a brief description of diseases that effect Mountain Ash from Penn State Extension.
