Concern about my mesabi cherry tree #708268

Asked August 01, 2020, 7:41 PM EDT

We recently planted a Mesabi cherry tree and in the past few weeks we noted the top leaves are misshapen and have a white coating in addition to what appears to be holes. Would love to know what this is and what we need to do to restore it to health.

Expert Response

It looks like your tree has powdery mildew. It is very common during hot, humid summers.
