Is there anything I can do to care for tree damage from the silver frost/rain leaving large areas without bark for protection.

Did you experience damage from our recent snow and ice? Did any branches break off your tree?  Below is some information about snow and ice damage that may help you:

Would you be able to attach a photo of the damage you are seeing? I am not sure I have a good idea of what the bark damage is that you are experiencing. Certainly if the growing area below the bark is damaged this can be problematic, however I am unsure of the severity of the issue without more information.  Unfortunately there is not a way for you repair bark that has been damaged.  However, if the damage isn't too severe the tree is often able to repair the wound on its own.
