Parasitic nematodes #682593

Asked March 04, 2021, 2:53 AM EST

Is there a way to diminish the effects of nematodes in my backyard garden? My three bean plants died quickly and the effects on 20+ okra plants was notable last summer.. The leaves fell off and okra pods diminished. Is it possible to use beneficial nematodes to compete with the parasitic species? Thank you

Expert Response

The beneficial nematodes are used to control other insect pests, they do not attack other nematodes. Here are several links with management options for nematode control.
