Hi there,
We are restoring our 1956 home and recently removed a wooden mantel that had been installed by previous owners over the original limestone mantel. The limestone had been damaged by the installation of the wooden mantel as evidenced by sideways screws and sloppy glue jobs. Our first question is can the damaged limestone be fixed and if so, how? Second question is how to remove stubborn masonry screws.
Thank you in advance.
