Discovered this morning a cluster of small bugs sitting on the wood in my unfinished basement. Not sure what they are and really hoping they are not a type of termite.

Discovered this morning a cluster of small bugs sitting on the wood in my unfinished basement. Not sure what they are and really hoping they are not a type of termite.
It's difficult to tell what the organisms in the photo are, but they are not termites. I believe they may be springtails, which are sometimes found in damp basements. Decreasing the humidity usually discourages springtails in basements.
