Identify this volunteer grass #673969

In creating this native wildlife area, a volunteer fountain grass appeared and I allowed it to stay because I think it's beautiful in the spot it's growing along the path. Can you help me identify it to make sure I'm not allowing an invasive to take hold. Many of the blades have a crinkle look, and has a small seed stock coming out of the center.

Expert Response
Closeups of the shoot, flower stock and roots in sharp focus are necessary for a positive identification so I have two choices: reed canary grass or calamus grass. Calamus grass has the ruffled stems but the flower is showier than what is in focus and I only have photos of it before the flowers open.

if you remove the seed heads before they disperse it will stay where it belongs, although you won’t get more from seed.
