2 out of 3 ain't bad #669079

I planted 3 azaleas in May. 2 pink 1 white in the middle. The pink ones are thriving. The white one is not.

I assume that you see no evidence of insects or disease.  These would not be visible from your pictures and you don't mention any.

The plant could be failing for these abiotic reasons.  It reason probably isn't specific to the color of the blosssoms.

  • Inferior nursery stock
  • Not planted correctly: root ball burlap or covering not removed, hole not large enough, damaged roots....
  • Transplant shock
  • Drip down the siding that could result in overwatering
  • Favorite urination site of pet
  • Insufficient mulch
  • Insufficient water during droughty, hot weather
