I have looked through the pictures of moths in CO and in RMNP. Found similar ones but none with the same looking spots.

I have looked through the pictures of moths in CO and in RMNP. Found similar ones but none with the same looking spots.

Very large moth - the one with the largest wingspan one will find in Colorado. Doesn't reproduce in the state and does not survive between seasons. It is a migrant that periodically gets blown up from Texas and points south. A weather pattern a week or so ago seems to have pulled some into the state.
