Obnoxious grass #661361

I have a very invasive gass that looks individual but acts like a rooting plant.

This yellow grassy-looking weed is probably a nut sedge. Dig some up and compare to photos on the UC IPM page. Bulbs are key to identification and why this is such a challenging weed to control.  http://ipm.ucanr.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7432.html
The IPM page includes cultural controls and herbicide suggestions. This is from California, so the materials sold here and labeled for nut sedge cntrol might be different. Follow the label of what you buy.
