Purple flower fields #659949

I wondered what the fields of purple flowers are near Monmouth north of Corvallis. They are not lavender

Without a picture it is hard for me to confirm, as I am not sure exactly which field you are referencing. That being said with full bloom this time of year I would guess Crimson Clover, which can vary in it's shade of purple.  Does the photo attached look right?

Oooohh, that is LOVELY! That is a large field of Phacelia (one of my favorite flowers and a favorite of the bees/beneficial insects). They may be growing it as a cover crop, soil stabilizer, or for seed. What a stunning sight, thanks for getting a photo.
