I have an ancient oak tree on my property. It's showing signs of stress. I attempted to have an arborist look at it in the fall and didn't have any luck getting anyone out. I am looking for guidance in caring for the tree. see attached pictures. If you know of an arborist that lives in the Ottawa County area, please forward contact information to me. Or feel free to share my question.

Thanks for the question. Looking at the trunk, your tree definitely needs the eyes of an arborist. You can find certified arborists here:
Oaks have had a tough spring. In Kent county many trees have a thin canopy due to a late frost and have not put out new leaves. There are also gypsy moths; however, they do not seem to be doing a lot of damage. We have also had some early hot weather. For a tree which may be in declined all this can be exceptionally stressful. Oak wilt should not be dismissed. You do not need an arborist to have your tree tested. The MSU Plant and Pest Diagnostics Lab can do the test. Check out the following link:
