I am suspecting this is botrytis on my tulips. Should I dig up the bulbs and dispose of them?

Expert Response

Yes, that looks like Botrytis blight. Management strategies are to remove flowers before petal fall and remove foliage when it yellows to prevent spread. Also, yes, you can destroy or discard the bulbs and other debris. This article provides some more into about Botrytis in tulips: http://plantclinic.cornell.edu/factsheets/botrytisblighttulip.pdf
