Hi. All my phlox has yellow discoloration in big patches that start on the edges of the leaves and move inward. One by one the plants are turning completely brown and shriveling Up and dying! I sprayed with an organic spray with spinosad-a but that didn’t work so I tried one that said “pesticide, miticide, fungicide”. No holes in the leaves. Pale yellow discoloration. Doesn’t look like an insect. Looks more diseased. Can anything be done?

Without knowing the specific products that you used, I cannot say if that is the cause. If you know the name of the products I could rule that out. Typical problems with phlox showing this kind of damage include the following: leaf drop, aster yellows, viruses. See the following websites to compare what you are seeing with particular diseases. At this stage the disease process looks too far advanced. Be careful not to plant new plants in the same soil.
