Can you please send us photos of the flowers and leaves of the plant in question? We do not have enough information to go by on description alone.

A common invasive weed is Multiflora Rose (Rosa multiflora), and it does have thorns, white flowers, and stems that can root where they touch soil. You can compare it with web photo search results and information on this page, which also describes control: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/multiflora-rose. (The first photo on that page looks yellowish, but flowers are actually white to very pale pink.)

Here is a good pic, if we wanted to extract how might that best be done (yes I know carefully :))

Thank you. This is actually one of the wild (native or otherwise) brambles - blackberry or raspberry - it is difficult to tell them apart until fruiting. Unfortunately, if the brambles are intertwined with desirable garden plants, they will just have to be physically removed. Herbicide will be equally damaging to any nearby plants it contacts. You could try painting/dabbing either the foliage or the cut stems with herbicide labeled for use on brambles, so it can be absorbed into the root system. Otherwise, consistent removal will eventually starve-out the root energy stores so it stops re-sprouting. Vigilance is key, though, so unseen foliage isn't missed to continue feeding the root system. You can follow the guidance for wineberry (a relative) on this page: https://extension.umd.edu/hgic/topics/invasive-shrub-control.
