Why does my mint turn black? #640276

Every year my lovely stand of mint starts turning black. What's going on? -Leif Neve

Hi- we think this might be fourlined plant bug feeding which is very common this time of year:

Prune out the damaged leaves. No control is recommended. It's a temporary problem. Next year, you could try covering your plants with a floating row cover to exclude this pest:
