Wear a hat, treat a long sleeved shirt with Deet and wear long pants and treat cuffs with Deet as well. The good news is the gnats are supposed to be over for this year in a couple of weeks.
Don't wear any fragrance or scented shampoo or detergent.  Hopefully the experts are right and they will soon be gone.
