This looks like a type of dogwood, called a Kousa dogwood (Cornus kousa).
Our native dogwood is Cornus florida. It's shape and limbs are a bit more horizontal, it blooms earlier, with rounder flowers. The Kousa has less disease problems, is more upright, and holds all it's flowers on top of the leaves. They both have berries but the Kousa's are large and look like raspberries.
There are cultivars that are crosses between the two.
