Wondering what type of tick this is. Found in my house 4/15/20, SW Loveland but we do live on acreage with creek, wetland and tall grasses, and have seen ticks before. Seems early, but it was very warm last week.

Looks like the Rocky Mountain wood tick - the #1 tick in the state.
They sometimes are out as early as March, if the weather is warm. When it gets hot, in July, then they go dormant.
