Dying grass! #591938

Asked August 25, 2019, 3:14 PM EDT

this summer the grass in my front yard has started dying in distinct patches and the 'disease' is growing. I water every day & have never had this problem in the 28 years I've lived here. I sprayed with a fungicide /  insecticide from a spray bottle which is likley not enough treatment anyway. In any case it continues to expand. Photos attached. Can you help me determine what is happening & what to do about it?
& thanks for all your help now & in the past with my soil, etc.

Thank you for your pictures.

Can you please take a picture of the entire lawn. A few broad pictures. A picture including the effected lawn and the healthy lawn.

That’s about it. It was all rocks when I bought the place & I put in grass. There was a large tree in front of the wishing well that had to come down a couple years ago & it was just getting grass again.

Thank you for your additional pictures.

Please comment on the following questions.

What are your common practices for the grass? How often do you mow, water, fertilize? What spray did you use (the one that you mentioned)? Do you have pets?

This is the grass from 28 years ago, is that correct? Do you remember what type of grass is it?
