Serviceberry yellow leaves #576466

Asked July 03, 2019, 8:38 AM EDT

My serviceberry has yellow leaves which are dropping off. I was told that it might have been overwatered and also to check the roots. I don’t see any bugs- The tree has been fine for 5 years. Thanks

It could be over watering.  It also was a very wet spring and the trees produce a large flush of growth that may not be able to continue to support as we get into very hot weather and a bit drier.  During hot dry days do not water more than one inch of water in a week and that includes whatever nature gives us.  I have one doing the same thing right now.  Overall your plant looks good.
