Spindly seedlings #571430

Asked June 17, 2019, 10:56 PM EDT

I direct sowed kale seeds, and now I have lots of spindly seedlings. What am I doing wrong?

Expert Response

Nothing! Your kale looks perfect. Give it another week or two and you will see the plants get larger and sturdier with larger leaves. You can start thinning them out (and eat what you pull) anytime so that they are a few inches apart. This will help them to grow strong and sturdy.
