This fungus may be birds nest fungus, which is very common in mulches. I can see you have mulch in the picture. These types of mushrooms are completely harmless to the environment and is common in mulch because mushrooms, in general, thrive in moist environments on decaying matter, such as old wood, which is why it is growing in the mulch. It is harmless and important in ecosystems - but you may find it unsightly. In that case, it is actually very easy to remove by hand! Unlike difficult weeds with long roots systems, you simply need to put a pair of gloves on, and then carefully scoop them out of the ground. Lift by hand, or dig down a little to lift them out, and be mindful not to burst open the tops, as those may release spores (baby mushrooms).
Fungicides are chemicals that are used to kill members of the fungi family, but those are not affective on large macroscopic mushrooms. They are primarily used on microscopic fungi and best applied before issues begin. They can also be detrimental to ecosystems if applied to soils because they can kill beneficial fungi in soils that are important to the health of those soils and the plants that grow in them.
To prevent future growth of mushrooms in your mulch, aerate the area with a trowel, hand fork or pitch fork. Planting more plants along the edge of this can help fill in the area and block any unsightly mushrooms, too!
Best wishes-
