Corn Speedwell Treatment Plan #563393

Asked May 21, 2019, 9:51 PM EDT

I have corn speedwell in my lawn and I was wondering if someone could recommend a treatment plan based on products. Most research I've seen says to treat with a pre and post emergent products but not much else. Any insight is appreciated and my hope this is something I can do myself. Thank you

Corn speedwell is a winter annual. Seeds germinate in early fall. Plants overwinter and then flower and go to seed in spring. Corn speedwell usually dies by mid-summer.

The most effective compound on corn speedwell is triclopyr. Ortho Weed B Gon Chickweed, Clover & Oxalis Killer For Lawns is a widely sold product that contains triclopyr. An application in early to mid-November should control the small seedlings.
