Thank you for your question. You are just too far away from the flowers to make an ID. Here is a link to photos of the yellow wildflowers of the PNW for you to research: https://www.pnwflowers.com/browse/color/yellow?page=6
Good luck!
Good luck!
More challenges!
Can you identify either of these two? (Two photos of tree, one of bush.)
Full disclosure: A colleague of yours was unable to.

Here is a photo of the fruit of the tree.

Thanks. So, one of the reasons s/he may not be able to ID the very large one is that plant ID is based on the size of the plant, the shape of the flower, the placement of the flower and leaves on the stem, and the number of petals. You’ve asked 63 questions, and over half of the photos are taken so far from the plant that they may as well be on Mars. Please take photos no further away than 2 inches!
Try this for the small shrub (that needs more sun) plant:: https://landscapeplants.oregonstate.edu/plants/choisya-ternata
Thanks for your patience, and knowledge.
Your choisya ID is spot on perfect. It appears in none of our old Garden encyclopedias.

Here is the OSU website that you might want to become acquainted with; it is the triage we use to identify unknown plants: http://oregonstate.edu/dept/ldplants/plant_ident/plant/search/type/2
Just available now for woody plants, but that appears to be what you have the most of!

Here is a closer photo of the yellow flowers.
With your help, I judge them to be Cascade Wallflowers.
Does the expert agree?

With my wife’s help, I have changed my mind.
What about Geum Macrophyllum?

Our final answer: creeping buttercup.

Attached are verified flower IDs in the order you suggested/guessed. The leaves are deeply lobed but not pointed. The plants’ foliage appears to be spreading (repens), not upright. The wallflower is upright; leaves too small. The wallflower is also a complex, rather than s simple flower. Finally, count the petals. Two have 5; wallflower is not a contender.
Bingo!
