Apple tree problem #561288

Asked May 14, 2019, 3:14 PM EDT

The attached photos show two of my three Honeycrisp apple trees. This is the second year that the leaves are sparse. When summer is full, the leaves look withered. Last fall I had it sprayed, with the idea that it had a fungus / bug.

Expert Response

We can't diagnose anything from these photos. You can check the trunk for damage from critters. Aside from needing a good pruning, I cannot tell the problem. I suggest you have a certified arborist make a house call to evaluate your tree and its environment. You can find one by visiting this web page and clicking on Find An Arborist. Put in your zip code to narrow the search: http://www.treesaregood.org/
