We had our front yard landscaped in the Fall. New soil, young plants and red hemlock. A new weed or grass is sprouting over the entire area. I need suggestion on how to get rid of it without damaging plants.

Mechanical removal is fairly easy at this stage. Anything to disturb the roots and lay these seedlings along the surface to dry out would work. Perhaps a stirrup hoe or scuffle hoe, or a rake? Careful application of herbicide is another option.
