Hello, we have 2 black walnuts that have a growth in some of their branches. It affects one branch at a time and then the branches break off. Please help. I love these trees. I have pictures, but I don’t know how to attach photo.

The branches are dead and have been colonized by a fungus, the white stuff. The fungus may not be the causing the branches to die. Providing the plant disease clinic with a sample will provide a diagnosis of what is causing the branches to die.
