We’ve found multiple of the soft little sacks in our apple trees. We loved to know what they might be and if we should be concerned or excited about their presence? Thanks a bunch!

It is not possible to tell for certain from the photos, but I think it is either cocoons or egg sacs of the white-marked tussock moth. These are sometimes common. The caterpillar is bizarrely shaped and colored (photo attached). They almost always limit their feeding to leaves, so there is no fruit damage. Usually no need to control them.
