I have a space 3' X 8' by 6" tall that needs plants(s). A cedar tree was removed because it had bores which killed the tree. I need something that grows tall and thin and keeps it's leaves. See pictures. I have 3 barberry bushes in front of the spot, which I can trim down if necessary.

Thank you for your question. I'm wondering if you might consider planting some native shrubs that would attract wildlife. We have some shrubs here which will grow to the height you want, and many of which are evergreen.
