Blueberry Soil Preparation #500104
Asked November 18, 2018, 4:37 AM EST
Green manure crops tilled in on August. Now aged pine bark (8 months) topped on soil, mixed in with rotating tiller, beds afterwards raised to 23 inches with native soil covering sides.
Will pine bark ammendments work well for aeration and retain moisture even if 4-6 inches under soil? Should more be added?
In a field prepared like this which method of irrigation is suggested?
Thanks!

Looks good. What is the native soil and its pH.
Looking for a pH of 5.5.
What is the CEC?
Looking for something low in Michigan usually sandy loam below 2.
We could add sulfur but soils are to cold now for it to work.
It that site trickle irrigation is probably the best bet
