Hi I found what I think is a whale vertebra on the beach in Cape Ann. It is approx 11 inches in diameter. Could you help me identify it?

Yes, it is indeed a whale vertebrae. Unfortunately, that is about as far as I can take it given the weathering of the bone tissue. There may be others who can narrow it down more and if you are interested, I can refer the pictures to a marine mammologist to see if they can be a little more specific.
