If you are looking for a tall, narrow evergreen, consider DeGroots Arborvitae. It grows very tall but can be only 2-4 feet wide. It is available locally. http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/PlantFinder/PlantFinderDetails.aspx?kempercode=f930 Also the Columnar Norway Spruce fits the description but it may be hard to find. https://www.monrovia.com/plant-catalog/plants/3252/columnar-norway-spruce/
One of these pix is orientated correctly.
Thanks for the ideas of trees but neither look like the tree in this picture to me. The tree in the picture is the one I've been trying to identify for a long time so we can plant one. Any other thoughts on it?

You need to get a closer picture so we can see if it is a spruce or some form of pine. From here it looks like a spruce.
OK. But this was in a town a ways away. However there is one near by me that I can get a picture of. It might not be for a week or 2 tho.
Here's the tree nearby our house that I think is the same as that other one. Even if it isn't the same, we're interested in it as well. Good luck. Thanks!
The tree is probably a Norway Spruce (a variety of pine). You do need to remember that young trees look different than the older, mature trees. It could be Cupressina. Here is information on that tree: http://www.mortonarb.org/trees-plants/tree-plant-descriptions/norway-spruce#destination
I think you got it. This is what I found and am looking for in width; Cupressina Norway Spruce will grow to be about 30 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 8 feet.
THANKS!
