Hello,
I recently purchased two of these plants. The flowers looked beautiful, but I noticed that the leaves had brown spots and were wilting. I bought them anyway thinking that the store may not have given them enough water that day. Do you have insights as to why they are having these issues? I'm wondering if this has to do with over/under watering or poor drainage. I don't think they are infested. Thank you,

Dear Laura,
It looks like your celosia is suffering from over watering and/or poor drainage.
When well established celosia can withstand fairly dry conditions and is subject to root rot in poorly draining soil. Does your pot have drainage holes? Try cutting back on the watering until the top couple of inches feel dry, then water adequately but do not drench the soil. I hope your celosia recovers.

Thank you, Peggy.
Dear Laura,
We are all tempted to buy well priced plants from the big box stores, unfortunately their practices of caring for the plants is not as good as at the nurseries. "Drowned and then dried" is a common approach. I do hope your celosia is getting better.
