Wasp identity #480125

I have orange wasps on my milkweed plants But cannot find out what they are. The closest Thing is a mason wasp from Australia Can you help

Hello.

This appears to be a Great Golden Digger wasp (Sphex ichneumoneus) ~ fairly common in western Oregon.

Please note that it is impossible to verify IDs without examining the specimen under the microscope . . . but given the time of you, area, and general appearance of this wasp, Sphex ichneumoneus is the best bet.
