Brown circles on green tomatoes. #474360

Asked July 30, 2018, 12:41 AM EDT

One entire branch of my plant had all fruit looking like this. Can't find any reference visually on line, any ideas? Cut that branch off the 5 ft plant , it was the closest to the ground, splashed by soil in recent rain. Had one small fruit higher up with same marks,  cut that one too. Complete line all around circumference of tomatoe??? Thanks again!!

Unfortunately it looks like you have a mosaic virus.  This will not go away and could even spread to other plants without careful handling.  I have attached a couple of articles for your review.  The best thing is to destroy the plant and do not compost it, throw it in the trash.  For future planning look for seeds that are disease resistant.  The attached articles provide some guidelines for you.

Thank you and I have already researched both those page's. I have 2 plants, both Bonnie plants, the on with spots shows V,F,N,MTV on the tag. This plant is not stunted at 5 foot and I have several ripening that look terrific, are one tonight, it was yummy. The other plant looks fine so far except for some appearing early on. I guess I'm confused by the descriptions and the plant itself??
