Can you help me find out what this is in my yard and how to cure it. It keeps spreading each year. We dug it up 5 years ago when the patch was smaller and resoded. Now it's gone crazy in the yard. Need help desperately!

It just isn't possible to diagnose your problem from photos. I am giving you a link to grass diseases. You need to take a magnifying glass and examine the blades of grass for symptoms.
