Expert Response

The plant in the photo is a honeysuckle. Honeysuckles are large shrubs. Honeysuckles were once widely planted in home landscapes and windbreaks. However, they are now regarded as invasive weeds. Seed-grown (volunteer) honeysuckles often appear in pastures, roadsides, woodlands, and home landscapes. Birds love the berry-like fruit and freely disperse the seeds.
