Amelanchier disease #466279

Please identify the disease (if any) of our Amelanchier canadensis. It shows prematurely yellow and red leaves in June. Is it verticillium wilt? A redbud twenty feet away died last year, and had similar symptoms. Photos attached.

This is not uncommon on our native serviceberry and we don't think it is related to your redbud dying. Verticillium wilt presents differently. The leaves become scorched and dry and tend to stay attached, and it is long branches, as opposed to a few leaves here or there.

We would not be concerned.
