Our client brought in some clippings from his squash and watermelon plants. The leaves are turning black and drying out. They are about 6 weeks old, in his garden, and about 12 plants are effected (not all of them). It just started in the last few days. Thanks for your help.

It's difficult to see what the cause might be from the limited plant parts. Is there a chance the client can provide a photo of the entire plants in the field? That way we can see how the symptoms are distributed and other possibilities.
