Noticed that most of the trees in my neighbor's yard, who does not garden, seem to be struggling. In particular, this magnolia (which the previous owner planted) is looking really bad, and since I work very hard on my gardens, and they are in close proximity, I don't want mine infected. The magnolia leaves are turning black, sticky and nearly all the wood is just coated in this fungus/scale. What should I tell my neighbor? Should I be worried for my plants , in particular I have a dogwood bush and a french pussy willow within 5 to 8 feet of this, as well as my own new magnolia.
