I have an Eastern Redbud tree that I bought in November 2016.  The tree flowered beautifully this spring. Also the tree leafed-out apparently without a problem, too.  However, during the last week or two, it was clear something was wrong with the leaves.   The leaves at the ends of many branches were wilting and curling up in a rather twisted fashion. I've attached three pictures that show typical views of leaves on this tree.
I looked online and the best fit that I could find for this problem was a Verticillium wilt fungal infection which affects the tree’s vascular system. The online resources also say there is no treatment against the fungus.
