my son brought me a rhododendron for my 76 birthday and i potted it with the help of my daughter who knows more about plants than i do,well i put in in full sun from morning to late in the evening,look at the photos and tell me what i must have done wrong,all the leaves are hanging down they look like their dead,but they have buds on them,i have now put them in the shade,please help.

Thank you for your question. Your rhododendron is sun scorched and lacks water. It could use some fertilizer, too, to bring the green color back to the leaves. Rhododendrons are shallow rooted, shade loving plants. If you follow the above steps, it should stay alive. Here's an article about their care. Good luck!
