We are planning to have this ash cut down. We were told by a trusted arborist that it could split and fall in the next wind storm. I have no reason to not believe him, but I need a second opinion before I take action. I have attached 2 view-from-north photos, and 1 view-from-south photo. It stands next to our deck and house. Thanks so much!

I really would have like a good photo of the branching where the trunks divide. From what I can see in the one that has a partial shot of that area, it looks like included bark. When there is a bad junction, bark gets compressed in the area. Bark will not adhere to bark. A good junction should look like a U instead of a V. Under the right conditions, the tree will break at the V junction. Here is a good explanation: http://www.extension.umn.edu/environment/trees-woodlands/storm-damage-to-landscape-trees/
Thanks for your response. I have attached another photo with a closeup of the junction. Looks more like a V than a U to me. Would you take a look at it?
Yes it is a V with included bark. Your arborist is right about the dangers of that junction. Sorry.
