We had a beautiful Joshua tree planted about a year ago. Up until 2-3 months ago it looked great. Now it looks like it is dying. The vendor that planted says it is over watered, other have told us it is under watered. How do we tell?
We have several cacti on our front yard. They all have dribblers and are watered once a week.

Thank you for your question. Being a yucca, these plants need very little watering, as described In this Extension article. Once a week is too much, since yucca are very sensitive to over watering. I'm unable to tell you whether it is dead, but recommend no watering to see if it revives. Good luck!
