Basil - Black spots on leaves #455001

Asked May 18, 2018, 1:07 PM EDT

Hello, See attached photos. This is a newly planted box on 5/6/18 with new miracle grow soil. I'm assuming the black spot is due to all the rain in recent days. I'-m trying to figure out how to stop the plant's downturn. I have 3 products on hand: Bonide Copper Fungicide concentrate (copper octanoate) , Bonide Multi-purpose Fung-onil multipurpose fungicide (chlorothalonil) and Spectricide multi-purpose insect and disease concentrate (Myclobutanil/Peremthrin) Would any of these be good to use and what would be the timing to apply? Thyme, chives and a tomato plant are what you see in the box next the basil. Many thanks for your help.

Expert Response

You are correct. It has been a very unusual period of near constant rain and humidity for days.
We think that now that the sun has shown they should be fine, and you shouldn't need to treat.
